Variations on a theme

The following may be of interest to collectors:

The R116 gondola car shown below is fitted with X307 bogies, which were usually fitted to the rear of the tender of the Transcontinental Pacific locomotive.

'The Story of Rovex, Vol. 1 1950-1965' by Pat Hammond does not have this variation although the later version does mention it. I can't believe that this is unique,  Does anybody else have an example or can shed any light on this variant? It has 'Made in England' underneath it.

CKD BSK A CKD version of a Blood & Custard BSK ?

I also have acquired a maroon & cream, R423 scale length 10 inch Brake Second Corridor coach which appears to be a CKD kit. Its bogies are held on with brass screws and the sides are separate and clip in as per the usual maroon versions. Its running number is 35024 but Pat Hammond's first volume and all the literature, adverts of the time etc. do not mention anything but maroon CKD's. It is genuine Tri-ang and does not appear to have been tampered with, again does anybody else have an example or can shed any light on the model?

Could it be a hybrid Tri-ang/Hornby? When did Tri-ang/Hornby start to make coaches with separate sides? Did they make blood and custard sides with the number 35024?
